Neko's Baptism!

This was a great day for my friends in Ponderosa Ward and especially for Shelia and Neko. Neko had a rough road to baptism. He was doing good at his job but wasn't interested in the church even though his mom and sister, Jasmine had joined. Then he went down a very wrong path and started stealing from his boss, his mom  and just going into a very dark place. After he lost his job, his truck and things looked really bad for him he started coming around. Lots, and lots of prayers for him made a big difference and he started to make progress. He started coming to church, getting to know people and then started taking the discussions. He caught fire and the Gospel became his life. He is such a warm and really great young man. He will do well as he stays close to the Lord. And the amazing thing was his baptism took place on a Fast Sunday, at 6:00pm after church which ended at 5:30 on Super Bowl Sunday. So many people stayed for his baptism after church we all couldn't fit in the baptistery. There were over 100 people that came!!!!! The opening talks and such had to be moved into the chapel. Then we all went to the baptistery and stood so we all could fit and watch a miracle occur in Neko's life. Then back to the chapel for the remainder of the program. Afterwards we had food, lots of food thanks to the many people who wanted to be part of this great day. And there was more than enough for everyone! It was an amazing day with very amazing people and Neko!
